Founder & Lead Teacher

Doris Ferrán

Doris Ferrán is an internationally trained violinist, violist, vocalist, educator, and the founder of Zeblyn Music Academy. With a lifetime devoted to music and more than two decades of study, performance, and teaching experience across three continents, she brings to her students a rare combination of artistic excellence, classical rigor, and genuine human warmth.

Her musical journey began at the age of six at the prestigious Luis Casas Romero School of Music in Camagüey, Cuba — where she quickly distinguished herself through her dedication and natural musicality. She later pursued professional studies at the renowned Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Havana, before moving to Italy at eighteen to continue her advanced training at the Istituto Musicale Pietro Mascagni in Livorno.

Her talent and commitment earned her a scholarship to the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana (Italian Youth Orchestra), where she had the privilege of studying under the legendary Maestro Piero Farulli — one of Europe's most influential music educators and founder of the world-renowned Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

She continued her artistic development through advanced studies and scholarship opportunities at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence and the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in Germany — two of Europe's most distinguished musical institutions.

On Stage

A Career Built Across Europe

As a performer, Doris has appeared with respected orchestras and ensembles throughout Europe — in Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and beyond. She has collaborated with internationally recognized conductors and performed in prestigious concert halls and festivals, including productions in Florence, Massa Carrara, and Torre del Lago Puccini.

Today, she continues to perform professionally as a violinist, violist, and vocalist. She currently serves as Concertmaster (First Violin) of the Jazz Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, under the artistic direction of renowned Puerto Rican saxophonist Jazz Hamilton. Her active performing career means her students learn from a musician who lives and breathes music at the highest level.

In the Classroom

Teaching as a Calling

After years of studying, performing, and teaching throughout Europe, Doris chose to make Orlando, Florida her home — and it was there that she founded Zeblyn Music Academy with a vision that extends far beyond music lessons.

She envisioned a place where students could develop confidence, discipline, creativity, perseverance, and self-expression through the transformative power of music. At Zeblyn Music, every lesson is designed to inspire growth not only as a musician, but as a whole person. Doris believes that music teaches patience, responsibility, focus, resilience, and confidence — qualities that enrich every aspect of a student's life.
